Salary : Competitive, DOE

As part of our continued growth, CRL is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in the Southeast of the UK

With 70 years of expertise in repairing reinforced concrete structures, we work across multiple sectors, including Bridges, Highways, Water, Utilities, and Multi-storey Car Parks. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that values experience, innovation, and teamwork.

In addition to this as our Construction Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing construction projects to achieve financial, safety, quality and environmental targets.
  • Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators.
  • Compiling contract plans, safety plans, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Planning, programming and resourcing contracts.
  • Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff.
  • Implementing and ensuring company SHEQ and other policies are complied with.
  • Ensuring CRM and SLIDS database is regularly updated.
  • Liaising, negotiating and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors and sub-contractors.
  • Accepting, approving and issuing contracts and subcontracts.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
  • Providing technical, contractual, and legal advice
  • Assisting with the preparation of quality bids, PQQs and other presentations as required

Construction Project Manager – What we need from you:

  • Some previous experience at running multiple construction sites in a similar role
  • Maintained working knowledge of current contract forms, acts & legislation (NEC / JCT), CDM Regulations & Employment legislation
  • Experience of SHEQ Procedures in a construction environment
  • A good working knowledge of construction Planning & programming alongside Accurate record keeping skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal reporting skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office
  • Collaborative approach to communication with Client / Supply Chain & Contracts Team
  • Ability to manage & develop operatives and other members of the contracts team
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black Card
  • Degree / NVQ Level 5, or equivalent in a Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline. (Achieved or working towards)
  • Full UK Driver's Licence
