About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join the team just outside of Bury St Edmunds. This position involves managing highways infrastructure projects and frameworks, with the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee sections of works, including supervising and monitoring site teams and supply chains.
- Prepare sequencing drawings and lead daily LEAN meetings to drive programme efficiency.
- Plan, control, and monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Manage multiple work packages, working closely with the commercial team to control costs.
- Identify and manage scope changes related to operations, design, and programme.
- Interpret and coordinate temporary works requirements and undertake value engineering solutions.
- Represent the organisation at external meetings with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
- Administer cost forecasting, valuation, and reporting systems.
- Ensure all teams and supply chains work to the latest design information and project requirements.
- Conduct material take-offs, ensuring timely ordering and reconciliation of materials.
About You:
- Proven ability to manage multiple or large work packages.
- Strong knowledge of CDM 15 and NEC contracts.
- Highly organised, with excellent problem-solving, leadership, and delegation skills.
- Skilled in interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Experienced in interfacing with site teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients.
- Structures background required, ideally with knowledge of highways projects.
- Passionate about health and safety, with an ability to work in line with company policies.
