We are tackling the labor shortage for the UK's climate transition by scaling productivity in heat pump installations. Installio is on the hunt for an enthusiastic individual to join our leadership team as our Founding Engineer, ready to help tackle the UK’s net-zero transition.

We are on a mission to become the UK’s market-leading heat pump installation partner, offering best-in-class installations-as-a-service through B2B partnerships. Leveraging our in-house technology, we are streamlining the installation process to make our installers as productive and efficient as possible. Tasks

You’ll be a member of our leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing and establishing our operational launch in the UK. You’ll work collaboratively with our founders, operational teams, and product development teams to design and develop a best-in-class operating model and installation service. As an early employee, you will play a large part in building our company culture and be involved in many key decisions along the way.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of installers to install heat pumps in your area
  • Work closely with our founders to develop our operating model
  • Become our companies go to for technical topics related to heat pumps
  • Develop an inclusive and positive culture within our operational teams

You’ll be an experienced heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find. You’ll also have domestic hot & cold water system knowledge and experience installing air-source heat pumps.

  • 5+ years experience in the domestic heating industry
  • You have prior experience installing heat pumps
  • You’ll know the requirements to size, select, install, commission and handover, and maintain air source heat pump systems
  • You have experience working in a team environment, ideally as a leader
  • You’ll have experience of reviewing and challenging technical specifications & mechanical drawings
  • It would be great if you had knowledge of and basic competency in electrical levels and F-gas
  • Valid driver's license
  • Entrepreneurially minded and have a desire to build a company from scratch

Qualifications:

  • A minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) within the Plumbing and Heating pathway
  • Gas safe certification
  • Eligible for MCS certification

It would be great if you had some of the below too

  • WRAS Water Supply Regs
  • UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems
  • BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation
