Your work will directly support critical marine projects that safeguard national security and public infrastructure. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while advancing your career in a dynamic, innovative environment.Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:Confirm parts are identified and traceable to certificationCarry out visual inspections to verify conformancePerform dimensional inspections using CMM, Faro Arm, and manual measuring equipmentCoordinate calibration of inspection toolsMaintain accurate and traceable inspection recordsThis role is full time OR part time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.Essential experience of the Quality Controller:Knowledge of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GDT) standardsStrong mechanical and mathematical inspection skillsSkilled in using inspection and gauging tools (micrometres, thread gauges, Vernier callipers, etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical standards and drawingsExperience in a machine shop or mechanical environment.Qualifications for the Quality Controller:SVQ / ONC in a relevant subjectFormal training in CMM or Faro Arm (preferred, training can be provided)Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
