Verify consignment and Duty of Care paperwork for accuracy and compliance. Conduct safety checks before waste acceptance and complete sampling for analysis. Record waste acceptance, routing and non-conformances using theSAP system . Segregate, label and store waste safely according to compatibility and environmental permits. Support waste processing activities – bulking, sorting, and repacking as required. Collaborate with chemists, site operatives and management to maintain operational efficiency. Promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental awareness across the site. Essential skills:To be successful as an Environmental Chemist , you will need: HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or related field– essential. Previous experience inwaste management, chemical handling, or environmental services– desirable. Working knowledge ofhazardous waste regulations, COSHH, and environmental compliance . Confident interpreting technical data, safety documentation, and inspection reports. Hands-on approach and willingness to work outdoors in an operational environment. Desirable experience: IT literacy (SAP experience advantageous but not essential).Training:Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support.
