An exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to join a highly profitable & growing £5 million turnover SME as a Finance Director in a newly created role due to growth.
Why Them?
* Established business with a down to earth leadership team and a collaborative working environment* Very much an adult working environment where you'll be trusted to manage your own time effectively* This is a brand new role to the business - a real opportunity for the right individual to make this role their own, and it will progress in line with the business as they expand in the next couple of years - the business has grown to a size where a hands-on FD is needed* Flexible working - operate hybrid working (1 day at home) flexible hours for any commitments outside of work. They are also open to a 4 day a week contract.
Working closely with the MD, the successful candidate will have full responsibility for, amongst other things, managing one direct report, end to end management of the month end process, financial accounting and controls, preparation of statutory accounts, review of finance processes to streamline and automate, provision of financial information to key stakeholders, providing an insightful business-partnering service to budget holders and shareholders across the business and some tax including VAT & corporation tax.
This position involves a broad spectrum of operational responsibilities and requires a wide range of knowledge and experience. It also requires an 'all hands to the pump' and 'no job is beneath you' attitude, borne of the experience of working in SMEs.
