Pay rate: £14.67
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking an experienced Plaster Technician to join the fracture clinic team and Wythenshawe Hospital.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake application of casts, braces and splints in a busy fracture clinic.
- Work with colleagues to ensure flow through the department identifying proper escalation to Nurse in Charge, Department Manager, or Surgeons when required.
- Be responsible for supporting the patient during cast application and removal and will ensure patients are given appropriate advice re care of their cast and splint
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- Must be qualified Plaster Technician or Orthopaedic Practitioner
- qualified with BOA casting competencies
- Plaster room experience
- Orthopaedic experience

Job description
The post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of Occupational Therapy within the designated area. Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
