Legal Secretary

Up to £25,000

(CV32) Full time, Office Based

The role of the Secretary is to provide effective support to their Leamington Spa Office. You will be expected to provide a high level of accurate, confidential secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and other professional staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing full support to our Solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
  • Creating and amending legal documents.
  • Handle and manage telephone calls, visitors and enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Preparing correspondence using our case management system.
  • Administering filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch.
  • Arranging the scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
  • Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Creating and amending legal documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm’s policies in general.

Requirements:

  • Have experience and knowledge of working within a Residential Conveyancing department.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be able to undertake searches, ID checks and other work on files without dictation.
  • Possess high levels of speed and accuracy.
  • Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
  • Be highly organised, methodical and adaptable.
