Team Information SecurityWorking Pattern -Hybrid 2days per week in the either the Vitality Bournemouth or London time 35 hours per week.We are happy to discuss flexible workingTop 3 skills needed for this role:IT risk & compliance expertise strong knowledge of controls and regulatory frameworksCapacity planning & performance monitoring forecasting optimisation and tool usageStakeholder communication translating technical risks and influencing decisionsWhat this role is all about:As ourIT Capacity and Risk Manager youll play a pivotal role in ensuring our technology environment remains robust compliant and future-ready.Lead cross-team efforts to embed risk management and capacity planning advancing IT operations and strategic goals with excellence and compliance.This is a high-impact role where youll translate complex technical risks into actionable business insights maintain high-quality documentation and act as a key bridge between Technology Compliance and Governance teams. Youll also ensure infrastructure capacity is aligned with business growth enabling proactive planning and decision-making.Key ActionsCapacity Planning & PerformanceConduct capacity management activities across infrastructure and applicationsForecast resource needs based on business growth and usage trendsEnsure systems meet SLAs without over-provisioningIdentify performance bottlenecks and underutilised resourcesGovernance & Risk ManagementDesign and assess IT controls (e.g. access change application general IT controls)Conduct gap analyses against different frameworks such as ISO 27001Maintain and enhance the IT risk register tracking mitigation activitiesManage root cause analysis for capacity-related incidents and implement preventive measuresStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with senior leaders CIOs and programme managers to align IT capacity with strategic initiativesPresent risk assessments and capacity plans to leadershipPromote risk-aware decision-making across technology teamsReporting & AnalysisProduce insightful reports on capacity performance and trendsIntegrate capacity metrics into IT risk assessments and executive reportingSupport internal and external audits including evidence collection and walkthroughsCollaboration & Tool ManagementWork closely with IT operations service delivery and project teamsUse tools like Dynatrace SolarWinds and custom dashboards to monitor and model capacitySupport awareness and training initiatives around IT risk and control obligationsWhat do you need to thriveStrong analytical and documentation skills with a keen eye for detailProven ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate emerging risksExperience translating technical risk into business-relevant messagingDeep understanding of IT controls and regulatory frameworksFamiliarity with IT infrastructure (servers cloud storage networks)Knowledge of ITIL especially Capacity ManagementProficiency in monitoring and reporting toolsSo whats in it for youBonus Schemes A bonus that regularly rewards you for your performanceA pension of up to 12% We will match your contributions up to 6% of your salaryOur award-winning Vitality health insurance With its own set of rewards and benefitsLife Assurance Four times annual salaryThese are just some of the many perks that we offer To view the extensive range of benefits we offer please visit our careers page.Fantastic Benefits.
