The Director of Finance will play a critical role in strategic decision-making and operations as they lead and oversee the finance and accounting functions of a not-for-profit organisation. This individual will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring financial compliance, and driving financial strategies to achieve organisational goals.

Description

  • Leading the finance team and overseeing all financial operations.
  • Developing and executing financial strategies aligned with the organisational goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses.
  • Monitoring and managing organisational budget and expenditures.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and processes.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Contributing to the strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.

Profile

A successful Director of Finance should have:

  • A full Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA/CIPFA)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
