Operational Finance Analyst – Food Manufacturing & Retail3-Month Contract | Camberley (Hybrid)£250–£300 per day (Inside IR35)We’re working with a well-known food manufacturing and retail business, recognised for its high-quality products and strong consumer brand. The company operates a complex, fast-paced operation across logistics, manufacturing, sales, and commercial functions and is looking for an experienced Operational Finance Analyst to support performance analysis and financial insight during a busy trading period.This is a hands-on role requiring advanced Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to turn operational data into meaningful insight. You’ll play a key part in supporting both the operational and FP&A teams to drive accuracy, efficiency, and financial understanding across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, manipulate, and analyse large datasets across logistics, manufacturing, sales, and commercial teamsBuild and maintain Excel-based reports to identify variances, discrepancies, and performance trendsPartner with operational stakeholders to explain results, highlight key spend areas, and support decision-makingSupport the FP&A team with ad-hoc analysis, data integrity, and performance trackingContribute to the development and improvement of financial reporting processesIdentify and implement process improvements and streamlining opportunities across operational finance workflowsWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience as a Finance Analyst or Operational Finance professional within FMCG, retail, or manufacturingAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS, data modelling) and strong data manipulation abilityExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailConfident communicator, able to explain complex data to non-finance stakeholdersStrong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentProactive, adaptable, and comfortable working with large datasets and multiple systemsAvailable immediatelyWhy Join?This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading brand within the food and beverage sector, contributing directly to operational and financial performance.
