Assistant Knitwear Designer Girlswear

DescriptionAbout the Role:Working Pattern: Typically 5 days in the office with flexibility once embedded into the role. Core hours between 8am-6pm.Design and support product ranges for younger and older girls knitwear and the wider department including woven bottoms.Respond quickly to briefs producing fast-turnaround designs as needed.Demonstrate a strong sense of creativity and design direction.Research and recognise key trends across colour silhouette and yarn translating this into elevated customer-relevant products.Work within price point guidelines while maintaining quality and style.Collaborate with designers buyers merchandisers technologists sourcing teams and suppliers to deliver on time and to spec.Support with project-based collections as well as main range development.About You:Knitwear design experience is essential.Experience & knowledge in Photoshop and Illustrator is essential for this role. An understanding of AI design tools would be beneficial.Having strong team work and people skills is a must for this role.Experience working with factories and different brands/retailers would be an advantage.Must have a knitwear design background having worked across childrenswear and womenswear would be an advantage.Ideally you will have Retailer or Supplier industry experience.All applications must be provided with an updated digital portfolio.
