Fixed Income Trader

Our client is an independent global investment management firm. Due to continued growth and success, they are recruiting a Fixed Income Trader to assist the Head of Corporate Trading across a range of fixed income asset classes in their London office.


Working in an international environment with an exposure to investment strategies and balanced portfolio, the Fixed Income Trader will take responsibility for the following:


  • Liasing internally with fixed income strategists, analysts, and traders
  • Monitoring and evaluating trading levels and relative value across various markets
  • Recommending strategy enhancing trades to the investment team
  • Nurturing relationships with dealer counterparties and communicating with the broader market


The Fixed Income Trader will meet the following criteria:


  • Minimum of five years of experience in trading fixed income assets
  • A background of trading Investment grade and/or high yield Bonds
  • Proficiency in trading corporate bonds and derivative products using multiple data platforms
  • Higher degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Ideally hold a CFA or be part-way through this qualification
  • Familiarity with programming languages for data manipulation
  • A strong analytical background with the ability to think critically and communicate effectively
  • Ability to build effective relationships with sell side firms and build brand awareness of the firm
