Job Description:

  • Are you an experienced social worker with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting children in care?
  • Highly motivated and skilled Assistant Team Manager to join the Children Looked After (CLA) Team in Durham.
  • In this role, you will assist in managing the team, overseeing complex cases, and ensuring the effective delivery of services to children in care.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Team Manager in leading and managing the CLA team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of children in care to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support the safety, well-being, and development of children in care.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate and improve care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with legal and professional standards.
