Electronics EngineerHybrid Working - 3 days onsite per weekThe CompanyA technology innovator developing advanced satellite platforms and mission-ready hardware. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team pushing the boundaries of spacecraft performance, reliability, and manufacturability.The RoleAs an Electronics Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing and integrating custom electronics that power next-generation satellites. You’ll work across the full lifecycle from early concepts and architecture through to board bring-up, validation, and preparing hardware for launch.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design for spacecraft subsystems, from requirements capture to detailed schematicsSelect and evaluate components, including sensors, radios, power systems, and high-speed digital devicesCreate PCB layouts (Altium) with strong DFM and reliability considerationsDesign power supplies, monitoring circuits, and high-speed digital interfacesPerform circuit simulations, worst-case analysis, and signal/power integrity reviewsSupport board bring-up, debugging, hardware validation, and environmental test campaignsCollaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integrationExperience & SkillsSolid understanding of analogue and digital electronicsHands-on PCB design experience (rigid, flex, rigid-flex)Familiarity with FPGA-based systems and high-speed digital design principlesExperience with communication protocols: I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB, RS485/422, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, VNAs, and similar equipmentNice-to-have: space-grade standards, SI/PI tools (e.g., HyperLynx), FPGA coding (VHDL/Verilog), embedded/DSP experience, EMI/EMC-conscious designWhat’s on OfferThe chance to work on real spacecraft hardware with direct mission impactHybrid working environment with modern lab facilitiesCareer growth, technical ownership, and involvement in cutting-edge space engineeringCompetitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits packageWhat’s Next?Please apply with your CV, or reach out directly to Daniel Salway or Jim Merryfield at CleanTech Talent for a confidential discussion.CleanTech Talent is acting as the exclusive hiring partner for this role.
