If you love speaking with people, and organising things (with a bit of travel thrown in) then this could be your ideal role. This business organises a range of in-person and online events throughout the year, for professionals working in the NHS. Behind this, are the conference producers who are at the heart of any event. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING... You will be researching, creating, and managing conferences. You’ll be on the phone a lot; mainly calling senior professionals in the Health industry; finding out about their jobs, what they do, identifying hot topics, and inviting some of them to speak at your event. While there is a database of people who have attended previous events, you’ll also be doing research to find new people. You’ll use your writing skills to craft engaging copy for the event programme, and for marketing. In time, you will be managing your own portfolio of projects and will be responsible for the overall success of the event you produce. Imagine how great it will feel when it all goes well. WHAT DO YOU NEED... The preferred degree type would be Humanities related; for example History, English, Politics, or Science based. You don’t need any experience with conferences; nor is any knowledge of the Health industry needed: full training is provided, and you'll be learning from experienced people.
