Join our Asbestos and Water Compliance Team at L&Q:This an opportunity to join a new asbestos team that will deliver the full range of asbestos services and work to the highest standards to keep our residents colleagues and contractors safe. This role will be taking a lead position in keeping the residents colleagues and contractors safe and compliant with the asbestos regulations and L&Qs policy. It is a real opportunity to be a key part of a new team and design implement and influence our asbestos policies and working practices as well as providing technical knowledge and expertise where required. Reporting to the Compliance Manager we are looking for someone who wants to apply their experience to date to a large organisation and make a real difference to keeping people safe. This role includes the line management and mentorship of one Asbestos Officer. If this sounds like you we would love for you to applyYour impact in the role: Provide leadership and technical support to both the team and wider organisation Identify improvements and work with a team to implement and monitor their effectiveness To take every opportunity to influence the behaviour of others and demonstrate the importance of asbestos compliance whilst remaining collaborative and supportiveWhat youll bring: Your experience of working in the asbestos sector and understanding the challenges faced by our consultants and remediation contractors Your knowledge of the practical application of asbestos legislation survey and removal techniques and asbestos administration Holds BOHS Proficiency Modules in Asbestos (or equivalent and/or higher) Your communication skills able to work collaboratively within a team interacting with internal and external customers stakeholders at all levels as well as good report writing and presentation skillsIf you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process including application stage please email About L&Q:Were one of the UKs leading housing associations and developers.
