Were seeking a talentedElectronics Engineerto join our cutting-edge engineering team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that are shaping the future of aerospace and defence. The role can be based at either our Engineering Hub in Milton Keynes or our Manufacturing Centre in Great Yarmouth.In this pivotal role youll bring your expertise in microelectronics product and circuit design to support new product development whilst also enhancing and optimising existing designs.Key responsibilities will includeBe the engineering lead for specific products and projectsProvide support for current and new products in manufacturingProduce PCBA and thick film hybrid circuit layout for new customer owned and customer funded products based on customer design requirementsGenerate full drawing packs and associated manufacturing documents to support the aboveUpdate drawings and associated manufacturing document packsTechnical engagement and liaison with customers and design partners to ensure designs meet requirementsParticipate in cost saving and continuous improvement activitiesActively improve or optimise aspects of design function or processing of existing key productsSupport other departments as required with issues relating to existing designs or testing and formulate effective solutionsUndertake any other duties and responsibilities as required to maintain and/or improve the efficiency quality and service of the engineering team.Skills and experience required:Bachelor or masters degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification/experienceStrong electronics engineering backgroundProven experience in electronics design and circuit layoutPractical understanding of microelectronics assembly DesirableHigh reliability microelectronics design and development experience - DesirableSoftware design and programming - DesirableExperience in aerospace or industries with similar requirementsWorking knowledge of ECAD and MCAD e.g. Altium / Pantheon / Eagle / AutoCAD / SolidWorks/ Fusion 360 / Cam350 / GC PowerplaceFamiliarity with PCBA techniques thick film hybrid technologies and electronic test methodologiesExperience with ERP / MRP systemsCompetencies:Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving capabilityMeticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to workHigh initiative requiring minimal promptingWillingness to learn and developGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work as member of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to cope with new and changing demandsAbility to deal with ambiguityOther requirements:SC cleared or ability to obtainOccasional travel to other Spectrum Control sites and customers as requiredWhat we can offer you:Flexible working practices we work a 9-day fortnight offer flexitime and work a half day Friday25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy up to 5 additional daysHealth cash plan cash back for everyday health expensesPrivate healthcarePension scheme with 6% employer contributionsLife assurance 4 x annual salaryReward and recognition platformDiscount platform retail leisure gym discounts and moreEmployee assistance programme with access to confidential counselling servicesSupport for further training and educationRelocation assistance up to 8000 if you relocate to take up a position with usAbout us:Spectrum Control is a global leader in managing and controlling the electromagnetic spectrum.
