A lovely school in the County Durham area require a 1:1 SEND teaching assistant to join them ASAP.The candidate will be required full time to support a challenging Key Stage 2 pupil with ASD who has very challenging behaviour.The role is part time working 3 full days and 2 half days between the hours of 08.30 and 15.30.One to One SEND Teaching Assistant ResponsibilitiesWorking within KS2 setting of the school to work 1:1 with a SEND pupilRecording evidence of the child completing tasks and feeding back to teacher and parentsUsing own initiative to take the lead and to change activity plans if neededOne to One SEND Teaching AssistantRequirementsPrevious experience of working with challenging SEND individuals, positive handling training would be advantageousAbility to provide 2 x educational based referencesConfident and experienced in lone workingExcellent numeracy and literacy knowledgeGood behaviour management
