Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving commercial success in the biotech and rare diseases space? Our client is seeking a Commercial Director - Haematology to join the team on a 6-month contract. This pivotal role involves shaping the UK commercial strategy, leading a high-performing team, and making a tangible impact in the field of haematology.


About the Role:

As Commercial Director, you will be accountable for the development and execution of the commercial strategy for our haematology portfolio in the UK. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll ensure alignment with corporate goals, drive revenue growth, and establish leadership in this therapeutic area. This role requires a strategic thinker who excels at building relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patient organizations, and government bodies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to grow revenue and market share.
  • Lead and inspire the commercial team, fostering a high-performing culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, haematology centres, and patient associations.
  • Identify market opportunities and drive product/service innovation.
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance its profile.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards in all activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics, ensuring commercial targets are achieved or exceeded.


Requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in rare diseases.
  • Operated at the level of Director, Senior Director, or Country Manager
  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, or as a Business Unit leader.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and governance standards.
  • Proficiency in generating actionable insights and making data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK (20%).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
