Seasonal Ranger

We are currently looking to recruit for a Seasonal Ranger for Severn Trent Water.The role will be based at Lake VyrnwyThis is a part time position working 3 days per week which will include weekend working.The main purpose of the role will be assisting and supporting Rangers’ general duties relating to site safety, grounds and building maintenance, housekeeping, and being the face and voice of Severn Trent on its visitor sites.Main Duties and responsibilitiesCarrying out safety checks, housekeeping, and day to day grounds and building maintenance.                                                                                                                       - e.g. litter picking, bin emptying, traffic management, vegatation clearance, cleaning.Advising visitors on site rules and safety.Dealing with visitor enquiries and issues.Assisting and covering for rangers as required.  Ideal experienceEssential:Experience of handling health and safety in a countryside environmentExperience of working with general publicExperience of grounds and building maintenance practices, techniques, tools and equipmentFull UK Driving LicenceDesirable:Experience of working in a wildlife / conservation / countryside environmentIn order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:Essential:Flexible approach to the location, timing and nature of the workWillingness to work on all aspects of the job and in all weather                   Ability to work unsupervised / on own initiativeAbility to assist with diverse queries from members of the publicAbility to remain calm under pressure and deal with difficult situationsAbility to respresent ST positively and professionally at all times
