The Role

Electronic Materials segments, that are aligned with the company strategy. This will involve developing, maintaining, application analysis and testing of current and new product technologies; whilst working within a medical ISO environment. Additional duties include providing support to both technical and customer service teams. There is also an expectation to carry out a range of general daily tasks in the laboratory as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Development - Working on the formulation and research of new and existing products. for use in the Electronic Materials market that is aligned with the company strategy
  • Printing (Screen, and Inkjet), Current and New Product is expanding the Knowledge base for new markets such as Bio-Medical Sensors
  • Developing and maintaining application testing protocols; maintenance and SOP development of equipment (e.g. printers, test equipment)
  • Technical Support including interaction with internal and external customers to advance product development and implementation in PCB, PV and Biosensor applications
  • Application of own scientific knowledge in problem-solving situations
  • Provide updates on project progress, including regular communication with project leaders

Qualifications / Experience required

  • Practical working knowledge in a relevant formulating laboratory environment
  • Minimum 5 GCSE (A*-C / 4+) with emphasis on science subjects and A Levels in Chemistry or related discipline, ideally Degree 2:2 or above in Material Science/Chemistry/Biochemistry
  • Competent in the use of MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), additional computer skills, for example, the programing of macros
  • Ability to devise test methods, analyse results and disseminate them in a professional and effective way
  • Strong team player
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility of their work and think for themselves while being receptive to feedback to continuously improve the quality of the development
  • Ambitious and willing to learn
  • Hold a strong can-do-attitude
