We are looking for an experienced and highly skilledAccounting and Reporting Managerto lead the financial control, accounting, and reporting functions within ourGroup Finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the Groups month-end close process, preparing both entity-level and consolidated financial statements, and implementing consistent accounting treatments and robust financial controls to strengthen governance across the Group. The successful candidate will lead a small team of finance professionals, drive a culture of excellence, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Reporting and Consolidation Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and consistent monthly management accounts for all entities within the Group. Manage the Group financial reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. Maintain and continuously enhance the Group consolidation model and reporting pack. Produce regular KPI and headcount reports to support business performance monitoring. Provide financial analysis, modelling, and ad hoc reporting to support decision-making. Accounting and Financial Controls Stay informed of changes in accounting standards and ensure full compliance across the Group. Develop, document, and strengthen Group accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks. Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution. Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and manage elimination entries for consolidated reporting. Ensure accuracy of VAT records and master data in collaboration with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. Manage cash flow processes and maintain effective banking controls. Oversee user permissions and access controls within financial systems. Budgeting and Forecasting Support the preparation of the annual budget and five-year business plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow projections. Statutory and Regulatory Compliance Lead the external audit process, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and timely audit cycle. Manage completion of ONS surveys and other statutory or regulatory reporting requirements. Team Leadership and Development Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and reporting team. Set clear objectives, conduct regular one-to-one meetings, and support ongoing professional development. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture that drives excellence. Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management Collaborate with finance teams across the Group to ensure alignment in reporting, controls, and governance. Partner with budget holders to provide real-time financial insights and support informed decision-making. Prepare and deliver financial reports for investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders as required. Systems and Process Improvement Drive efficiency, standardisation, and automation within Group reporting and accounting processes. Support financial system upgrades and implementation initiatives. Promote the effective use of reporting tools and analytics to enable data-driven decision-making. What You'll Bring Essential Fully qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent). Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience , ideally within a multi-entity group consolidation environment . Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of financial reporting principles. Advanced Excel proficiency and proven financial modelling expertise. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills , with experience guiding high-performing teams.
