Radar Technician

The Opportunity:This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected and established international engineering company currently undergoing significant growth. We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter who can confidently assemble large bespoke systems. These units can range from 3.5 to 7 tonnes, containing up to 3,000 components (excluding nuts and bolts), and can take several months to complete.You will have either completed a formal Engineering Apprenticeship or be a highly experienced fitter who has learned on the job ideally from an Aerospace, Radar or similar technical background. The role is hands-on and varied, requiring both basic and precision fitting using tools such as feeler gauges and clocks for assembling gears, bearings, and more.Key Responsibilities:Interpret and Work from Engineering DrawingsAssemble Precision Parts, Sub-Assemblies, and Full SystemsCarry out Final Testing and Commissioning of Part or Fully Completed SystemsTravel Domestically and Internationally (up to 20% of the Time, including up to 10% in Asia) to Perform Installations, Commissioning, and Maintenance (includes Working at Height)Use Hand and Power Tools ConfidentlyWork Independently after receiving Product Specific TrainingDesirable Experience & Skills:Engineering Apprenticeship or Relevant Qualificat...
