Interim Head of Assets and Estates Southwest England (Local Authority) Outside IR35 6-Month ContractPanoramic Associates is working with a Local Authority in the Southwest to appoint an Interim Head of Assets and Estates. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property professional to provide strategic leadership across the council's estate and drive delivery of its two-year asset management plan.Responsibilities of the Role:Provide strategic leadership to the Assets and Estates team, ensuring effective delivery of the council's asset management objectives.Develop, review, and refine the council's strategic asset plan to ensure it remains aligned with organisational and financial priorities.Lead on the disposal of surplus commercial and community assets, including brownfield sites and leisure or community properties.Identify and deliver opportunities for income generation and value optimisation across the estate.Provide professional advice and recommendations to senior officers and elected members on property strategy, governance, and performance.Support effective decision-making processes and ensure governance standards are met across all property-related activity.Oversee tenant and asset management issues as they arise, ensuring continuity and compliance with the council's strategic approach. To be successful in the role you will have:Fully qualified Estates Surveyor (MRICS)Extensive Local Authority experience, at a strategic or head of service level.A proven track record in commercial property and asset management.Experience developing and implementing strategic estate plans and overseeing complex property portfolios.Experience with Asset acquisition and disposals.Next StepsThis is an initial 6-month contract, Outside IR35.
