Service Technician

We are working with a global engineering client based in Gloucester.  The position involves the setting and testing of capital equipment for the Lead Acid Battery Industry prior to despatch, commissioning in our customer’s overseas factories.  The role will involve frequent international travel.In your first few weeks in this Service Technician role, you can expect to:Set and test the company's full range of battery assembly equipmentFinal testing and assembly of machinery in preparation for inspection and despatchInstallation and commissioning of equipment at the clients locationTrain customer's staff at various levels at customer's overseas premisesReport writing and recommendations following all visitsTo apply for this Service Technician role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:An ONC or HNC in Engineering (advantage)Mechanically based skillset with a proven track record of mechanical assembly and fault diagnosisAbility to use measuring equipment such as Micrometre and Vernier callipers with an attention to detailThe ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, pneumatic drawings and circuitsIn return you will receiveAn  excellent remuneration package dependent on experienceWorking a  9-day fortnight, every other Friday off Group Life AssuranceExcellent pension and welfare package.Employee incentive planTo apply for this full-time Service Technician job in Brockworth, please contact Jonathan Lee Recruitment today.
