The MEH Alliance (MEHA) is an alliance between the Client NNB, and the MEH JV comprising of; Altrad, Balfour Beatty, Cavendish Nuclear, Altrad Babcock & NG Bailey. The MEHA scope of works is the installation of the bulk Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC systems at HPC in Units 1 & Unit 2.

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the role of Plant, Tools, Equipment & Consumables (PTEC) Procurement Manager for the site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

As a key member of the MEHA Partner Procurement Team, you will support strategic PTEC procurements, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure procurement aligns with MEHA governance and NNB HPC project objectives. You'll collaborate with the construction team to meet site requirements, identify procurement scope gaps, and implement solutions. Your role includes completing procurement steps, justifying value for money, and developing robust contract award recommendations. You will also manage procurement systems, resolve blockers, and maintain thorough records.

Key deliverables for this role are:

• To undertake PTEC Procurement work as directed by the PTEC Procurement Lead.

• Demonstrate value for money by applying ‘best for project’ procurement principles.

• Support the Construction team in their development of standard product lists (baskets of goods).

• Agree programme dates for the applicable process steps and hold the relevant team members to account.

• Engage with MEHA Partner companies to understand their supply chain, preferred supply routes and existing framework contracts for PTEC products.

• Complete procurement process steps, produce value for money justifications and develop robust contract award recommendations detailing rationale for award of nominated route for PTEC procurement.

• Roll out implemented PTEC product frameworks and education of the project team on what these are, where applicable information is held on MEHA systems and how to use them.

• Complete Procurement work required to progress orders through both Client (Sage) and MEHA Partner company procurement systems.

• Identifying and resolving any blockers, including holding other functions to account for the timely provision of information, and thus drive the achievement of programme milestones.

• Maintain thorough records of procurement process steps undertaken and support reviews and audits as required.

• Reporting to project management on subcontract procurement status, risks, and subcontractor performance.

• Apply nuclear safety culture philosophy to all procurements.

• Demonstrates strong communication skills, liaising effectively with peers, other functions, delivery partner and Client teams.

• Able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility.

• Demonstrates ability to reach sensible compromise positions.


• 5 years procurement experience in similar industry and role.

• Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).

• Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.

• Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
