Job Title: Marine Claims Surveyor/Loss Adjuster

Location: Remote working with ad-hoc visits

Salary: Depending on experience

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Claims Investigation: Lead investigations into marine cargo and freight liability claims, assessing the logistics and practices of cargo owners and carriers, and identifying the cause of each loss in line with policy cover.
  • Liability Assessment: Evaluate the responsibilities of both cargo owners and carriers across the transit chain, securing recoveries from other carriers and involved third parties as appropriate.
  • Variety of Claims: Handle a diverse range of claims involving first- and third-party liabilities, with exposure to numerous loss causes, locations, and cargo types.


You will have/will be:


We’re looking for someone who is ready to dive straight in with a ‘roll up sleeves’ attitude.


  • Cert CII/Cert CILA or BACS qualified (or with a commitment to achieve such)
  • Able to demonstrate experience in adjusting in a commercial environment
  • Comfortable managing time and working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Willing to undertake further training to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Willing to travel on company business ad-hoc basis.
  • Full UK driving licence
