Job DescriptionJob: Academic Support Year LeadSchool:Secondary School Lambeth South LondonStart date: January 2026 Actual Annual Salary: Contract: Full-time permanent term time onlyAston Education is looking for an Academic Support Year Lead for an Ofsted Good 11-16 secondary school in Lambeth South London. The Academic Support Year Lead focuses on academic oversight student guidance and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing within a Year Group (KS3 or KS4).The school offers:Generous local government pension schemeExcellent facilitiesExcellent professional development programmeFunding for a range of Masters qualificationsConfidential coaching sessionsConfidential counselling sessionsCycle to work schemeAnnual travel season ticket loanKey Responsibilities include:Lead Advisory Teams for a Year Group by establishing and maintaining positive routinesUse data to produce reports for a range of audiences including Governors and external agenciesUse data to inform smart measurable target setting to raise individual outcomesMaintain behaviour systems and create a positive learning environmentTrack student attendance and performance identifying underachievement and implementing interventionsSafeguard students health safety and wellbeingLiaise with parents and carersQualifications skills and experience required:Degree ideally with Psychology or Behavioural ScienceProven experience in an academic support role in a secondary mainstream schoolExperience leading a teamExperience coaching students for improved outcomesExperience of tracking performance and implementing interventionsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSafeguarding trainingOfsted says: This is a caring school with an inclusive ethos.
