Day to Day of the Role:

  • Lead New Product Development within the manufacturing technology stage gate processes.
  • Drive the adoption of digitalized technical work, including lab rig automation and data-rich reactions.
  • Enhance the understanding of existing products and processes, focusing on cost structure and bill of materials.
  • Coordinate lab-based activities and manage external relationships with industry partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions and process improvements.
  • Ensure process scalability, support plant trials, and contribute to technical root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and across different functions.
  • Develop and manage an internal network to advance project work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemistry.
  • Strong background in process and chemistry, with knowledge of statistical methodologies.
  • Proficient in literature search and application of existing knowledge.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions.
  • Desirable: Manufacturing plant experience and project management skills.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of analytical techniques for product and process development.
