Commercial Financial Analyst

Iconic Resourcing are proud to be partnering on a retained basis with Loganair, a true Scottish icon and the UK's largest regional airline. Loganair has been flying since 1962 and serves Scandanavia and the British Isles. Alongside it's commercial activities, Loganair provides a key lifeline to those who call the Scottish Islands home.

Due to maternity leave in the team, Loganair are looking to add a Commercial Finance Analyst to the team for a period of 11 months. Due to the nature of the leave, they are ideally looking for candidates available on a short notice or immediately. Previous experience in a finance analyst or management accountant role would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Month end responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals & prepayments and posting relevant month end journals
• Weekly flash reporting and cost coding
• Providing support for the budgeting and reforecasting processes with associated analysis
• Variance analysis
• Working with the Business Partner to assist in the creation of departmental budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the department heads and budget holders
• Business case analysis for new and existing routes
• Presenting analysis to non-finance stakeholders
• Ad-hoc analysis and continuous improvement

Previous Experience

The successful candidate is likely to be a part qualified or qualified by experience finance analyst or management accountant with experience combining month-end work with ongoing analysis in a complex business. Previous experience working with Excel and datasets is required as is a strong analytical mind, able to interpret the numbers to support commercial decision making. There will be a degree of business partnering in this role so strong stakeholder relationship building experience is desirable.
