Working on behalf of our client whose based is in Elland, Yorkshire. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Fitter


Key Duties:

  • Supervising a Mechanical Team to complete Mechanical installation and repair projects at various sites across Yorkshire and occasionally the wider UK.
  • This is a hands on supervisory role which will be specialising in the installation and repair of scrapers used in the water treatment process.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to determine installation requirements.
  • Assemble and install mechanical components, including scrapers and associated equipment, according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform alignment, adjustment, and testing of scrapers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to scraper installation or operation.


What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • CSCS Gold Card / Level 3 NVQ
  • SSSTS / SMSTS
  • Proven experience supervising a small team of mechanical fitters. Preferably in the water industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Happy to work away from home for periods of time.


What our client can offer in return:

  • £19 per hour basic pay - Overtime paid at x1.5 and x2
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30 pm - Basic Hours - Regular Overtime Available
