If so, we want to hear from you About the Role: We are excited to offer aspiring teachers a fantastic opportunity to join GLFs Trainee Teacher Programme in partnership with Inspiring Future Teachers. As part of our GLF Schools Teacher Training Hub, youll receive exceptional training, support, and a choice of training routes, from our employment-based routes, where your salary and training fees are funded, to our fee-funded routes, where you could pay for trainee fees by a student loan, or potentially receive a tax-free training bursary. As a trainee at GLF, you'll be part of a supportive team where your professional development, well-being, and workload will be prioritised. You'll gain hands-on experience in various school settings that work for you, including GLFs nurseries and primary and secondary schools within our Trust. Qualifications: To be eligible for this teacher training route, you will have the following qualifications: A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or a recognised equivalent qualification. (For Secondary courses, at least 50% of your degree will be in the subject you wish to teach.) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, and (Science for Primary routes only) Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years. A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class degree in particular circumstances.) For some employment-based training routes, some school experience will be required, alongside a school that offers an employment contract. Stage 2 of the application process is that you will need to complete a DfE application form to train to teach and pass all criteria of the Initial Teacher Training provider. Funding/Salary: GLF offer funded training routes, with a fixed-term, full-time contract, 32.5 hours a week on an Unqualified teacher scale for specific candidates in specific routes. GLF also offer unpaid training routes, with candidates able to apply for a Tuition Fee Loans to cover the following course fees. Course Fees Full time fee-funded (QTS + PGCE): ~ £9,535 total. If you opt out of the PGCE, the cost is approximately £9,035. Part-time course (over two years): Year 1: £7,145; Year 2: £4,762. PGCE is not available for this route. Salaried route: The QTS tuition fee is paid by the employing school, with the PGCE, offered at an extra £500, which the trainee must pay. Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeships with course fees at £9,000, which can be funded by the school/employers levy pot for eligible candidates. Maintenance loans of around £13,000 to help with living costs for some candidates Some secondary subjects also come with a tax-free bursary paid by the Department for Education. Why Join GLF?
