We have doubled the size of the business in the last 18 months and have plans to increase our growth further. Experience
- Previous experience working in an ISP or service desk environment
- Keen interest in IP networking and WAN technology
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of IP Networking, WAN technologies and Network security
- Hands on experience in, implementing and supporting LAN/WAN network equipment, network protocols and communication standards (Cisco & Juniper)
Desirable Skills
- Good knowledge of Firewalls (Juniper, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA or FortiGate)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (one or more; SolarWinds, PRTG etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of VPN and Remote Access solutions
- CCNA or JNCIA certified - or working towards
About the role
- Configuring network devices including switches, routers, firewall, as well as a good understanding of networking protocols such as VLANs, NAT and VPNs.
- Provisioning of new services on our ISP core infrastructure.
- IP Address Management and VLAN Management
- Owning orders/projects for conception to delivery
- Configuring MPLS/BGP/SDWAN
- Firewall configuration - Firepower/Palo Alto/WatchGuard/ASA
- Working with PM's to deliver projects/orders within agreed timescale
