The Solar Engineer will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of solar energy systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations, including shading analysis and structural evaluations.
- Create detailed engineering plans, specifications, and layouts for solar energy systems using software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope.
- Perform system simulations and energy yield predictions to optimize system performance.
- Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, installers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the installation, commissioning, and operation of solar energy systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar technology and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar energy engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in solar design and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope).
- Strong understanding of electrical and structural engineering principles related to solar PV systems.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, UL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
