Key Responsibilities for a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Support pupils with their learning on a whole-class, 1:1, and small-group basis as a Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Implement effective strategies to enhance student learning to support class teachers
  • Work independently while adhering to school policies and procedures
  • Differentiate teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of learners, some with EHCPs
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Job Requirements for a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • A First-Class Degree from a Top 20 UK University is essential for a Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Aspirations to work in the education sector
  • Relevant child-centred experience will always be beneficial in applying to the role of a Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check, and other background checks is essential for any school-based role
  • An Aspiring Primary Teaching Assistant must be local to the role or willing to travel
