About the Role As aHire and Sales Coordinator , you will play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience. Your responsibilities will include: Key DutiesActing as the first point of contact for incoming customer enquiries via phone and emailHandling the full hire processfrom initial request and equipment selection to order processing and off-hire managementProviding accurate information on product availability, hire rates, delivery times, and technical specificationsCoordinating with logistics, drivers, engineers, and other depots to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipmentMaintaining accurate hire records and updating internal systemsBuilding strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring repeat businessIdentifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and servicesResolving customer queries, issues, or complaints efficiently and professionallySupporting depot colleagues with administrative tasks and general branch operationsContributing to stock checks, yard organisation, and equipment control where necessaryEnsuring compliance with company health & safety standards and environmental responsibilitiesWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleHigh levels of customer satisfactionAccurate and efficient processing of hires and returnsStrong working relationships across the Speedy networkDemonstrating initiative and ownership of customer needsActively contributing to business growth and depot performanceWhat You NeedA strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport quicklyConfidence handling multiple enquiries at once while maintaining attention to detailAbility to use initiative when making decisions or problem-solvingA collaborative approach, supporting colleagues to maintain a positive workplace cultureDrive to maximise commercial opportunitiesAbility to support the business unit in delivering ourESG StrategyDecade to DeliverPrevious experience in hire, construction, plant, or a customer service environment is desirable but not essentialfull training is provided.
