COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER37 HOURS PER WEEKGRADE 6 30024 - 32061Do you want to play a key role in building stronger healthier and more cohesive and connected communities If you are enthusiastic about bringing people together and creating opportunities for wellbeing this could be the perfect role for you.We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our Leisure Healthy Lifestyles & Communities team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with residents voluntary groups and partner organisations to strengthen community cohesion and support local initiatives.In this role you will engage and collaborate with voluntary community and faith sector organisations across Wyre. You will support the development of local community hubs and referral processes and you will build strong relationships with partners such as Healthier Fleetwood Age UK Lancashire and local community centres. You will assist with grant applications monitoring and evaluation to help sustain community projects and you will organise and attend events forums and workshops to promote integration and wellbeing.We are looking for someone who has a degree or equivalent experience in social work community development volunteer management or a related field. You will need strong interpersonal and communication skills excellent organisational abilities and the confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.In return you will join a team that values professionalism innovation collaboration and customer focus. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of local communities and access development opportunities within a supportive working environment.You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
