As an ER Specialist, you will provide expert employee relations (ER) advice and support to create a trusted and positive working environment for colleagues. Your role is key in aligning organisational strategy with colleague needs, improving people practices, and ensuring processes are carried out in a way that reflects our values.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and support an inclusive working environment, coaching managers to create spaces where colleagues thrive.Lead on ER casework including conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary hearings, absence and performance management, and organisational change.Ensure People/ER processes comply with employment legislation and company values, minimising risk and protecting reputation.Provide commercially sound ER advice to managers and the People team using a coaching approach.Deliver training to line managers on ER topics.Identify and escalate ER risks and emerging trends, taking responsibility for agreed actions such as coaching or training.Support escalated casework management, including ACAS Early Conciliation, ET3 forms, and Employment Tribunal bundles.Maintain accurate workload trackers and ER MI data, monitor trends, and suggest solutions to improve colleague experience.Contribute to the development of ER policies and resources for managers and colleagues.Successfully deliver ER-related ad-hoc projects.Skills and ExperienceStrong knowledge of employment law and ER best practices.Proven experience managing complex ER casework.Excellent communication and coaching skills.Ability to analyse data and identify trends for continuous improvement.Experience delivering training and developing policies.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
