Company Overview:
Dynamic gaming company that specialise in creating immersive gaming experiences, are seeking a talented individual to lead their software engineering department and drive the development of cutting-edge gaming technology.
Role:
They are looking for a VP of Software Engineering to oversee the design, development, and implementation of their gaming software. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled engineers, driving technical innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality gaming products.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and communicate the technical strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Manage and mentor talented software engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Manage the design, delivery and implementation of complex full lifecycle of software engineering projects.
- Oversee the architecture and design of gaming systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation
- Drive the technical vision and strategy for the gaming software, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Establish and maintain essential department processes to drive efficiency.

What you’ll bring:
- Proven and demonstrable track record of within software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects within the gaming industry.
- Strong technical skills in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, as well as experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
- Passion for gaming and a desire to push the boundaries of what's possible in interactive entertainment.
