Social Worker – Intake & Assessment | Vale of Glamorgan Hoop Social Care are supporting Vale of Glamorgan Adult Services to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their fast-paced Intake & Assessment Team. This role is based in Barry and offers hybrid working. Pay rate is set by the LA at £33.83 per hour as an Umbrella company. In this role, you’ll be supporting individuals at the first point of contact, completing strengths-based assessments within people’s homes, and ensuring that the right care and support is in place. You’ll also complete MCA/BIA work, draft assessments and care & support plans, and submit service requests as required. You’ll work collaboratively to facilitate respite and longer-term placements, and you’ll be confident stepping in on duty when needed. The team is based in Barry, and you’ll be expected to attend the Civic Offices a minimum of twice a week to support service delivery and team connection. If you’re passionate about safe, person-centred practice and thrive in a dynamic front-door team, we’d love to hear from you.
