ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the structural engineering department.
- Interface with clients to understand their needs, communicate project updates, and address concerns or issues.
- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure successful outcomes.
- Participate in proposal preparation, client presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new projects and contracts.
- Offer technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges and optimize design solutions.
- Mentor and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, ensuring their professional development and performance.
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring structural designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports prepared by the engineering team.
- Lead project teams in planning, executing, and delivering structural engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform business strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent degree qualification.
- You must be Chartered Qualified with minimum 15 years postgraduate experience in building structure design and construction management.
- Proficiency in various projects in UAE, including hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use developments, residential (high-rise) among other is a must.
- Experience dealing with Dubai-based authority submissions is a plus.
We are collaborating with a distinguished multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Dubai who are actively engaged in various high-end hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use developments, and residential (high-rise) building projects in the Middle East. We are seek a Head of Building Structures to lead a team of expert structural engineers and technicians, closely collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects both locally and globally.
