Senior Security Engineer – Network Security
Working in the financial trading industry is highly motivating for security technologists because the environment is constantly changing at a fast pace, allowing you to work with cutting-edge technology. The exciting aspect of this opportunity is that you do not need current or previous experience within the security team of a trading firm; you just need to be a passionate and strong technologist. Security is at the forefront of my client's operations so a strong security background and mindset is essential.
What’s required?
This is an opportunity for a high-performing Network Security Engineer to join a global Cybersecurity team, yes you need to understand networking and know how to secure networks, and understand the basic BGP-related networking concepts, however, the emphasis here is on the security side. Can you provide examples of benefits after the migration of the ASA to Palo FWs? Can you clearly explain the differences between traditional firewalls and next-gen firewalls? Do you have automation experience and can you script? If you answered yes to the above, then we need to speak about how this could be your next career move.
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate experience across:
- Design, configure, maintain, and upgrade Cisco ISE components (IEEE 802.1x, TrustSec, Guest Access, PKI & Certificates).
- Assess, troubleshoot, and implement firewalls (Palo Alto focused), IPS, and VPN concentrators.
- Automate tasks and streamline security operations using coding and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions and support the global environment.
- Actively investigate the latest security vulnerabilities
Working model:
3 days per week in London is ideal as the team has a brilliant culture, however for the right candidate remote could be an option
