Job Summary:Company: DF Concerts and EventsDepartment: Concert & Event OperationsLocation: Glasgow and onsite and concerts and eventsReports to: Senior Operations ManagerWorking Hours: Full time plus evenings weekends and public holidays asrequired by schedule of concerts and eventsJob Type: PermanentRole DescriptionAs an Operations Manager specialising in Site Management and Logistics you will maintain full oversight of all aspects of infrastructure design procurement and management for our award-winning portfolio of outdoor concerts and music festivals.Join us as we shape the future of live events in Scotland pushing the envelope onsustainable design and reimagining the future of events.You will work closely with several external teams to deliver our events includingstakeholders such as suppliers landowners local authorities sponsors and media partners. This role requires a candidate with a strong technical background excellentfinancial analysis skills and the ability to negotiate and collaborate with diverse teams.Our TeamWe are a small dynamic team of event professionals with a passion for producingexciting well-managed safe and sustainable events for our fans artists and staff. Wecollaborate with multiple departments external suppliers and stakeholders such as localauthorities sponsors and broadcasters. Our ability to bring people together and developstrong working relationships is key to our success.Our team are fun resilient hardworking and supportive - committed to consistently highstandards of performance and delivery while contributing to a positive and empoweringteam culture.Who you areCompetencies / Skills / Knowledge / ExperienceSignificant experience as a site manager or complex logistics planner in the temporary live-events sectorProven track record delivering safe sustainable and commercially robust site footprints across concurrent projectsStrong numerical and financial analysis skills: budget tracking cost-control and variance analysisProficiency in AutoCAD and GPS/GIS systems for accurate site layoutsCDM Coordinator qualification or equivalent health & safety credentialsStrong understanding of CDM requirements and local authority standards and submission processesExpertise managing plant transport and workforce schedules to tight deadlinesExceptional supplier and contractor management: sourcing negotiation and SLA review and managementData-driven approach to site financial analysis and value-driven optimisationsExperience acting as the primary interface for internal teams (Technical Production Health & Safety Sponsorship Landowners)Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead several delivery teams concurrently maintaining detailed records specifications and schedulesBehavioursThe following attributes determine how the role will be carried out and are required to be a successMethodical and highly organised with a no detail too small mindsetCalm under pressure and decisive in tactical/bronze-level capacityResourceful problem-solver who anticipates and mitigates risksStrong relationship-builder and confident negotiator with colleagues and external partnersProactive adaptable and committed to continuous improvementInnovative thinker who can identify and develop new opportunities venues and spaces for future business developmentWhat the role includesConduct detailed site surveys and produce comprehensive layouts (AutoCAD/GIS)Own and monitor site-specific budgets analyse variances and drive cost-effective recommendations and negotiationsDevelop maintain and execute detailed build and break schedules ensuring safe and efficient workforce logisticsManage CDM obligations and enforce site safety plans alongside H&S colleaguesSource negotiate with and oversee suppliers ensuring SLAs and quality standards are metAct as the main point of contact for all internal departments translating their resource needs into cohesive site plans and specificationsDevelop the commercial integrity of site designs by optimising and innovating layouts for sponsorship F&B and partnersChampion our sustainability action plans across sites leading on operational implementation; set and hit targets on waste diversion energy use and carbon footprint per eventProvide on-site tactical decision-making (bronze level) ensuring continuity and rapid response to emerging issuesLead post-event debriefs to capture lessons learned and inform continuous process improvementsEqual OpportunitiesWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
