My client, a trusted and expanding company in the aluminium glazing sector, is looking for an experienced CAD/Logikal Technician to join their technical design team. This isnt just about drawingits about collaborating with fabricators, project managers, and installers to bring projects to life, solving technical challenges, and ensuring everything meets British and European standards. What Youll Be Doing: Youll be at the heart of the design process, creating accurate, high-quality drawings that make projects run smoothly. One day youre producing AutoCAD drawings for aluminium windows and doors, the next youre generating fabrication drawings and material schedules using Logikal software. Heres what your role will involve: Producing precise AutoCAD drawings for a range of glazing systems (SMART, SAS, Senior Aluminium). Generating fabrication drawings and material schedulesensuring everything is ready for manufacturing and installation. Creating technical documentation that guides the team from design to completion. Working closely with fabricators, project managers, and installers to resolve any design or technical queries. Attending design and coordination meetingsyour input will be key to keeping projects on track. Making sure all drawings comply with supplier manuals, product limitations, and industry standards. Managing projects from survey and drawing packs right through to installation, keeping everyone updated on progress. Is This You? Youve got at least 5 years experience in the aluminium glazing industry, and youre proficient in AutoCAD and Logikal software. You know your way around Senior Aluminium and Smart Aluminium systems, and youre the kind of person who: Loves precisionyou take pride in creating drawings that are accurate down to the last millimetre. Enjoys problem-solvingwhether its resolving a technical query or finding a smarter way to design something. Works well in a teamyoure just as comfortable collaborating with colleagues as you are working independently. Stays organisedyou can manage multiple projects and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
