Biomedical Scientist in Blood TransfusionBanding: Band 6Location: West MidlandsStart Date: ASAPDuration: OngoingWorking Pattern: Core hours onlyHourly Rate: 22-24 PAYE via the trust Direct Engagement ModelWe are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Blood Transfusion to join our clients team in the West Midlands. This is a full-time ongoing position working core hours only offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will carry out blood grouping antibody screening compatibility testing and issue blood components for transfusion. You will ensure safe transfusion practices and regulatory compliance.Qualifications and Experience- HCPC registration- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent- Experience in Blood Transfusion within a clinical laboratory- Familiarity with LIMS and transfusion analysers - Ortho BloodTrack and Winpath- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities- NHS experience (preferred)Why Work with PulseFrom the moment you register with Pulse our focus is entirely on you.
