We are a Beauty, Skincare & Cosmetics Manufacturer with a proven track record of supplying top-tier private label and branded products to leading retailers.

We're now looking for a Junior Chemist to collaborate with the Product development team to scale up new formulas from laboratory to production scale, ensuring successful translation of concepts into commercially viable products.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development activities to enhance existing products or create new formulas, leveraging your expertise in chemistry and knowledge of industry trends and consumer demands.
- Perform comprehensive process analysis, identifying areas for improvement, troubleshooting issues, and preform corrective actions to meet production goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of process improvements and quality control measures.
- To conduct thorough chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, intermediate products and finished goods to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and suppliers to evaluate and optimize the performance of raw materials and chemicals used in production.
- To maintain quality control protocols, perform stability testing and troubleshoot any issues related to product quality and stability.
- To manage batch manufacturing record (BMR) for formulations and maintain accurate records of samples, process parameters and results.
- To maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments, test results and formulations. Prepare and update product specifications, safety data sheets and regulatory documentation.
- To work closely with other departments such as operations and QA to trouble issues and support continuous improvement efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Cosmetic science or a related field
- Experience as a Cosmetic Chemist, specifically within the personal care, hair care, or skincare industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, raw materials and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in scaling up laboratory formulas to production scale
- Comprehensive knowledge of chemical reactions and formulation techniques relevant to personal care, hair care, and skincare products
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing the manufacturing of personal care products, and GMP guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis
