We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant you could be qualified or on the journey to becoming qualified with CIMA or ACCA. In this role, you'll benefit from strong mentorship from a Financial Controller, while also mentoring a direct report. This position offers exposure to key financial operations, with a clear progression pathway to a Financial Controller position within a stable US-owned group.Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and overhead analysis.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee inter-company invoicing and group balance reconciliations.
  • Maintain standard costs of Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
  • Report production variances promptly and implement process improvements with the production team.
  • Monitor costs against budgets and investigate variances.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Produce quarterly VAT returns.
  • Support the site's Financial Controller.
  • Supervise and guide the Finance Administrator.
  • Play a key role in implementing the new ERP system, ensuring data integrity and ongoing ownership.
The Candidate:
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or finalist or P/Q (Study Support Provided)
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with knowledge of Cost & Project Accounting.
  • Proven ability to work in deadline-driven settings, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of integrated teams.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Experience in new system implementations is a plus.
  • Ideal for someone aspiring to develop into a Financial Controller rol
