Commissioning Engineer - AWE Burghfield Location: AWE Burghfield (full-time site-based) Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35) Contract: ASAP start - through to Spring 2026 We're recruiting experienced Commissioning Engineers to join a major defence infrastructure project at AWE Burghfield. You'll play a key role in the delivery of commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and process systems within a highly regulated environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll ensure that systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project, regulatory, and technical standards. Key Responsibilities: Execute commissioning activities across M&E systems in line with approved procedures and schedules. Support the development of commissioning documentation, test packs, and handover records. Conduct system testing, inspection, and validation to ensure operational readiness. Interface with construction, design, and operations teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements. Support senior commissioning and project management teams as required. Requirements: Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer on large, complex projects.
