We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rhondda Cynon Taf to assist with the appointment of a Cleaner on a 2.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 12.65 - 16.55 per hour Hours per week: 10.00 Summary: The School Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that all internal areas of the school premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes classrooms corridors offices toilets staff rooms sports areas and communal spaces. The role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe clean and welcoming environment for pupils staff and visitors. Responsibilities: Clean and sanitise all designated areas including classrooms corridors offices toilets staff rooms halls and communal spaces.Carry out regular cleaning duties such as dusting vacuuming sweeping mopping polishing and wiping surfaces.Sanitise toilet areas including sinks cubicles flooring soap dispensers and hand dryers.Clean and sanitise sports and changing areas including shower cubicles and tiled surfaces.Maintain cleanliness of staff rooms including sinks work surfaces and hard furnishings.Empty all waste bins and dispose of rubbish in the appropriate manner. Essentials: Good understanding of basic cleaning principles and hygiene standards.Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Good communication and time management skills.Reliable punctual and trustworthy.Experience in general cleaning duties such as vacuuming mopping sanitising and waste disposal.Experience cleaning in educational or public sector buildings is an advantage but not essential.
